Consistency Rule — How to Calculate It and Become Payout Eligible

Quick answer: The Consistency Rule applies to Speedy and Instant Funding accounts. Your highest realized profit day must represent less than the applicable percentage of your total realized profit for the current payout period:

Account

Consistency threshold

Speedy

Below 40%

Instant Funding

Below 20%

Pro

Rule does not apply

⚠️ Important difference: A result of exactly the threshold is not below it and is therefore not payout eligible. On a Speedy account the percentage must be under 40%; on an Instant Funding account it must be under 20%.

📌 Quick guide

  • Speedy accounts: the rule applies at 40%

  • Instant Funding accounts: the rule applies at 20%

  • Pro accounts: the rule does not apply

  • Closed or realized profit is used

  • Open or floating profit is not included until the position is closed

  • Exceeding the percentage does not breach or terminate the account

  • The payout period and consistency calculation reset after an approved payout

This guide explains the formula, examples, payout reset, dashboard display, and the information Support needs when a calculation appears incorrect.

Support can explain the published formula and account figures, but cannot recommend a daily profit target, trading frequency, lot size, or strategy for changing the percentage.

How the rule is calculated

What this means: The system compares the largest realized profit recorded on one trading day with the total realized profit earned during the current payout period.

Formula:

Consistency percentage = Highest realized profit day ÷ Total realized profit for the payout period × 100

How to check it:

  1. Identify the trading day with the highest realized profit

  2. Confirm the total realized profit for the same payout period

  3. Divide the highest day by the total realized profit

  4. Multiply the result by 100

  5. Confirm that the result is below your account's threshold — 40% for Speedy, 20% for Instant Funding

❓ Common question: Is exactly 40% (Speedy) or exactly 20% (Instant Funding) acceptable?

No. One day may not equal or exceed the threshold. A result of exactly 40.00% on Speedy, or exactly 20.00% on Instant Funding, is still not payout eligible.

❓ Common question: Can the percentage increase after it has already decreased?

Yes. A new larger profit day can become the new highest day. Realized losses can also reduce the payout-period profit total, which can cause the percentage to rise again.

What may be reviewed: Daily realized PnL, the payout-period start date, the highest profit day, total realized profit, approved payout history, and account adjustments where applicable.

Possible outcome: If the percentage is at or above the threshold, the account remains active but a payout cannot be requested until the percentage falls below it.

Detailed Speedy example — why the total must exceed $3,750

Example: Your highest realized profit day is $1,500.

Calculation: $1,500 ÷ $3,750 × 100 = 40.00%

Result: At exactly $3,750 of total realized profit, the percentage is exactly 40%. This is not yet below the required threshold.

If total realized profit increases to $3,900:

Calculation: $1,500 ÷ $3,900 × 100 = 38.46%

Result: 38.46% is below 40%, so the consistency requirement is satisfied, provided all other payout requirements are also met.

❓ Common question: Why does the formula $1,500 ÷ 0.40 produce $3,750 if $3,750 is not eligible?

That formula identifies the exact 40% boundary. Because the rule requires less than 40%, total realized profit must move beyond that boundary.

❓ Common question: What if I later make $1,800 on a single day?

$1,800 becomes the new highest realized profit day. The new 40% boundary becomes $4,500, and total realized profit must exceed that amount for the ratio to be below 40%.

Possible outcome: Meeting the consistency rule does not guarantee payout approval. All other payout, risk-management, and compliance requirements still apply.

Detailed Instant Funding example — why the total must exceed $5,000

Example: Your highest realized profit day on an Instant Funding account is $1,000.

Calculation: $1,000 ÷ $5,000 × 100 = 20.00%

Result: At exactly $5,000 of total realized profit, the percentage is exactly 20%. This is not yet below the required threshold.

If total realized profit increases to $5,500:

Calculation: $1,000 ÷ $5,500 × 100 = 18.18%

Result: 18.18% is below 20%, so the consistency requirement is satisfied, provided all other payout requirements are also met.

❓ Common question: Why is the Instant Funding boundary further away than the Speedy boundary?

The 20% threshold means the highest day can represent a smaller share of the total, so more profit must be built around it. To find your boundary, divide the highest realized profit day by 0.20 — the total realized profit must then exceed that amount.

❓ Common question: What if I later make $1,400 on a single day?

$1,400 becomes the new highest realized profit day. The new 20% boundary becomes $7,000, and total realized profit must exceed that amount for the ratio to be below 20%.

Possible outcome: Meeting the consistency rule does not guarantee payout approval. All other payout, risk-management, and compliance requirements still apply.

How consistency resets after an approved payout

What this means: After an approved payout, the previous payout period is closed. The old highest profit day is no longer used for the new period.

For the next payout period, the profit base is calculated using:

Current Balance − Balance After Payout

The new consistency formula is:

Highest realized profit day after the payout ÷ (Current Balance − Balance After Payout) × 100

Example (Speedy):

  • Balance After Payout: $101,000

  • Current Balance: $104,000

  • New payout-period realized profit: $3,000

  • Highest realized profit day in the new period: $1,100

Calculation: $1,100 ÷ $3,000 × 100 = 36.67%

Result: The percentage is below 40%. On an Instant Funding account, the same figures would give 36.67% against a 20% threshold, so more profit would still be required before the payout becomes eligible.

❓ Common question: Should I calculate the next payout period from the original starting balance?

No. Use the Balance After Payout shown in the Trader Area as the new reference for the formula.

❓ Common question: Does requesting a payout reset consistency immediately?

The reset occurs once the payout is approved. A pending or rejected request does not necessarily create a completed new payout period.

What may be reviewed: Approved payout date, Balance After Payout, current balance, realized PnL after the payout, and the highest realized profit day in the new period.

Possible outcome: The new payout remains subject to the recalculated consistency percentage and all other eligibility requirements.

Important calculation notes

What this means: Only realized results are included. Floating profit or loss from an open position does not enter the consistency calculation until the position is closed and the result becomes realized.

Balance: The account balance reflects closed trading results and other posted account transactions.

Equity: Equity includes the current effect of open positions, but open PnL is not treated as realized profit for consistency until closure.

❓ Common question: My dashboard shows 100%. Can the real percentage be higher?

Yes. The Trader Area displays a maximum of 100%, even when the mathematical result is above 100%.

Example: If the highest realized profit day is $1,000 and total payout-period realized profit has fallen to $600, the mathematical ratio is 166.67%, but the dashboard may display 100%.

❓ Common question: Do losing days help reduce consistency?

Losing days do not create additional realized profit. If losses reduce the total realized profit for the payout period, the consistency percentage can increase rather than decrease.

❓ Common question: Does an open profitable position immediately improve the percentage?

No. The result must first become realized according to the account records.

What may be reviewed: Closed-trade history, daily realized PnL, account adjustments, and the payout-period calculation.

Possible outcome: A dashboard display of 100% does not mean the account is breached. It means the actual calculation is at or above the dashboard's displayed maximum.

Where to monitor consistency and what to check

You can monitor the live percentage in the Trader Area dashboard for the relevant Speedy or Instant Funding account.

Check the following figures together:

  • Current consistency percentage

  • Highest realized profit day

  • Total realized profit for the current payout period

  • Balance After Payout, if a previous payout has been approved

  • Current balance

❓ Common question: Why does my own calculation differ from the dashboard?

Confirm that you are using the same payout period, realized results only, the correct highest day, and the Balance After Payout for later payout periods. Also check whether a newer day replaced the previous highest day or whether realized losses changed the total.

What to send Support: Registered email address, account number, screenshot of the consistency metric, highest profit day shown, current balance, Balance After Payout if applicable, and the dates being calculated.

Support can help with: Explaining the formula, confirming which figures should be compared, identifying the relevant payout period, and escalating a verified dashboard discrepancy.

Support cannot: Manually lower the highest profit day, exclude valid realized trades from the formula, recommend a profit target, or guarantee payout approval.

What to do when the percentage is at or above the threshold

What this means: The account remains active. The consistency rule is a payout-eligibility condition, not an automatic account breach.

To identify the boundary:

  • Speedy: Highest realized profit day ÷ 0.40

  • Instant Funding: Highest realized profit day ÷ 0.20

⚠️ Important: The result is the exact threshold boundary. Total realized profit must exceed it for the percentage to become less than the threshold.

❓ Common question: Will Support remove the rule or approve the payout because the account is profitable?

No. Profitability alone does not override the consistency requirement. The live calculation must be below the applicable threshold and every other payout condition must also be satisfied.

❓ Common question: Will the percentage always decrease if I continue trading?

Not necessarily. A new larger profit day or later realized losses can increase the ratio. The dashboard should be monitored after closed trading results are posted.

Possible outcome: The payout request remains unavailable or ineligible until the dashboard calculation is below the applicable threshold. The account itself remains active unless another rule is breached.
