Why Is My Account Read Only?

Quick answer: Almost always one of two things: you logged in with the investor password, or a payout is being processed — accounts go read-only automatically from request to completion.

Cause 1 — the investor password

Every account has a main trading password and an investor (read-only) password. The investor password shows everything and trades nothing. Re-log with the main trading password from your Trader Area.

Cause 2 — a payout in progress

From the moment you submit a payout request until it's processed, your account is read-only by design:

  • You cannot open, modify or close positions

  • You can log in and view

This keeps your profit figure stable while the amount is reviewed and approved — if the balance could move during review, the approved amount would be a moving target. Trading resumes automatically once the payout is processed.

This is not enforcement and not a breach. If the account stays read-only beyond the stated processing windows — 48 business hours for review plus 72 for payment — contact support with your account number and request date.

Neither applies?

A compliance review or account restriction can also limit access. Contact support with your registered email, account number and a screenshot of what you see.
