Payment Ownership, Third Party Payments and Account Verification Policy

1. Purpose of this policy

To support Traderscale’s identity verification, payment security, fraud prevention, AML and KYC controls, every customer must use a payment method that belongs to them and is registered in the same legal name as their Traderscale account.

This policy is designed to:

• Prevent fraud and unauthorised transactions

• Prevent account sharing and purchases made on behalf of other individuals

• Verify the identity and source of payments made to Traderscale

• Reduce payment disputes, fraud claims and chargebacks

• Protect Traderscale, its customers and the integrity of the funding programme

2. Customer and payment details must match

All of the following must be registered in the same customer’s legal name:

• The Traderscale customer profile

• The evaluation or funded account

• The payment card, bank account, electronic wallet or other payment method used for the purchase

• The identity documents submitted during verification

• The payout method used to receive profits

Customers may be required to provide documents confirming ownership of their payment method.

3. Third party payments are prohibited

Customers must not:

• Use another person’s card, bank account, electronic wallet, crypto wallet or payment details

• Allow another person to use their payment method to purchase a Traderscale account

• Purchase an account on behalf of another person

• Purchase an account as a gift for another person

• Ask a family member, friend, business associate or community member to pay for their account

• Receive a payout on behalf of another customer

• Request that profits be paid to a third party

This restriction applies even where the cardholder has given permission for the payment.

A payment made by a spouse, partner, parent, child, relative, friend, employer, employee, company or community member is still considered a third party payment if the payment method is not registered in the name of the Traderscale customer.

4. Gifts and purchases for other people

Traderscale accounts cannot be purchased as gifts.

A customer wishing to recommend Traderscale to another person may provide them with a referral link or information about Traderscale. However, the person receiving the recommendation must create their own Traderscale profile and complete the purchase using a payment method registered in their own name.

The fact that a payment was intended as a gift does not exempt it from this policy.

5. Payment methods used across multiple customers

A payment method must not be used on Traderscale accounts registered in different names.

Where the same card, bank account, electronic wallet, crypto wallet, payment token, payment fingerprint or other payment identifier is detected across accounts registered to different customers, all accounts associated with that payment method will be immediately deactivated pending a compliance review.

This applies to:

• Current accounts

• Evaluation accounts

• Funded accounts

• Accounts awaiting a payout

• Previously purchased accounts that remain active

• Any additional accounts reasonably connected to the payment activity

The use of the same payment method across multiple accounts belonging to the same verified customer is not prohibited, provided all accounts are registered in that customer’s own name and the customer remains within Traderscale’s account allocation limits.

6. Compliance review

During a compliance review, Traderscale may request:

• A payment card ownership confirmation

• A bank or payment account statement

• A transaction confirmation

• Proof of the cardholder’s name

• Evidence showing the source of the funds

• An explanation of the relationship between connected account holders

• Confirmation from the payment provider

• Additional identity or address verification

• Any other information reasonably required to verify payment ownership and account control

Customers must provide complete, accurate and unedited documents within the timeframe specified by Traderscale.

Sensitive information that is not required for the review may be concealed, provided the customer’s name, relevant account details, transaction date, transaction amount and merchant information remain visible.

7. Payment acceptance does not confirm compliance

Payments are normally processed automatically by third party payment providers.

The successful acceptance of a payment does not mean that:

• The payment has passed Traderscale’s compliance checks

• Traderscale has confirmed that the payment method belongs to the customer

• The purchase complies with this policy

• A future payout is guaranteed

• Traderscale has waived any breach of its Terms of Service

Payment ownership and account connections may be reviewed at any stage, including during purchase, account verification, trading activity, payout review or following information received from a payment provider.

A failure to identify a payment issue at the time of purchase or during an earlier payout does not prevent Traderscale from acting when the issue is later identified.

8. Outcomes of a compliance review

Where the customer provides satisfactory evidence that the payment method belongs to them and that no third party payment occurred, Traderscale may reactivate the affected accounts and continue processing any valid payout request.

Where Traderscale reasonably determines that a third party payment occurred, Traderscale may:

• Reject or cancel the payout request

• Forfeit profits generated on the affected account

• Deactivate or terminate the affected account

• Deactivate or terminate other accounts connected to the payment method

• Cancel pending evaluations or funded accounts

• Restrict the customer from purchasing additional accounts

• Permanently restrict connected individuals from using Traderscale

• Refund the original purchase payment where Traderscale considers this appropriate and legally permissible

• Request further verification before making a final decision

The outcome will depend on the available evidence, the nature of the violation, the customer’s explanation, previous account activity and any applicable legal or payment processing requirements.

9. Deliberate or repeated violations

The following may be treated as serious violations:

• Knowingly purchasing an account for another person

• Allowing another trader to use your payment method

• Repeated use of one payment method across different customer profiles

• Providing false or misleading information about payment ownership

• Altering or falsifying payment evidence

• Attempting to conceal the identity of the person who funded an account

• Using third party payments to avoid account allocation or identity restrictions

Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent account termination, profit forfeiture and permanent restrictions on future purchases.

10. Customer responsibility

Before completing a purchase, the customer must confirm that:

• The Traderscale account is registered in their own legal name

• The payment method belongs to them

• The payment method is registered in their own legal name

• They are not purchasing the account for another person

• No other customer has been authorised to use their payment method

Customers must contact Traderscale Support immediately if they believe their payment method has been used without permission or has previously been used on another customer’s account.

Customers must contact Support before requesting a payout if a third party payment has occurred.

11. Review requests

A customer may request a review of a decision by providing relevant payment ownership and transaction evidence within the period specified in the decision notice.

Submitting a review request does not guarantee that an account will be reactivated or that a payout will be approved.

Traderscale will consider the evidence provided and issue a final decision based on the payment records, account information and applicable terms.

12. Privacy and confidentiality

Traderscale may review payment and account information belonging to connected customers where reasonably necessary to investigate payment ownership, fraud, account sharing or policy violations.

Traderscale will not disclose another customer’s personal information except where legally permitted or required.

Any evidence shared with a customer may have third party personal information concealed for privacy and data protection purposes.
