Trading rules

Can I trade during news releases?

Directional news trading is allowed on Pro, without the five-minute news-entry restriction. Opposing-order news bracketing is prohibited. Normal risk and trading rules still apply.

Pro news trading

Directional news trading is allowed on Pro. The five-minute news restriction used for Flex and Instant Funding does not apply to Pro.

What is prohibited?

Opposing orders intended to capture either direction of a news release are prohibited. This includes opposing pending orders placed to catch either direction of the move. A single directional order is not a bracket.

Can I hold or close through a release?

Yes. Pro does not require an entry to be outside a five-minute news window. Normal risk and trading rules continue to apply, including the stop-loss requirement and the minimum trade duration policy.

Volatility, wider spreads and slippage can still affect equity and execution. News permission does not remove your loss limits or other trading restrictions.
