Trading rules
When must I add a stop loss?
No Stop Loss on Entry is included free on Pro 2.0. Attach a stop within five minutes of opening and before closing the position. Persistent missing-stop trading causes payout rejection and an account breach.
Included with Pro 2.0
Pro 2.0 includes Weekend Holding and No Stop Loss on Entry free. A stop loss is still required within five minutes of opening and before closing the position. Its first funded payout waiting period is 14 days, and its inactivity period is 30 calendar days.
Included No Stop Loss on Entry
Attach the stop loss within five minutes of opening, measured using server timestamps, and before the position closes, whichever comes first. Exactly five minutes is the maximum allowance; place the stop well inside the window.
The add-on changes placement timing only. Removing a stop does not restart the clock, and the position must remain compliant with the stop-loss and risk rules.
Add the stop before closing the trade
The stop must be applied within five minutes of opening and before the position closes, whichever comes first.
No add-on? A stop must be attached at execution. The add-on does not waive the stop-loss rule.
Use server timestamps. Do not delay a protective exit to reach a minimum holding time. Other risk and duration rules still apply.
What happens if I trade without a stop?
This policy applies to all account types.
- Persistent missing-stop trading: payout rejection and an account breach.
- Isolated cases: the P&L from the affected positions is deducted from the payout share.
The dealing review considers whether the activity is isolated or consistent. A recorded soft breach is not permission to repeat the activity. For a specific adjustment, use the P&L and reason shown in your payout review and contact support if you need the calculation explained.
Example
A position opens at 14:00:00 with the add-on and closes at 14:04:00 without ever having a stop. Closing inside five minutes does not satisfy the stop-loss requirement.
Before you trade
- No Stop Loss on Entry is included free on your Pro 2.0 account.
- Use the server opening timestamp.
- Add the stop within the permitted time and confirm it is visible.
A valid stop satisfies this requirement only. Drawdown, maximum risk per asset, minimum duration and other trading rules still apply. Do not delay a protective exit or remove a stop to reach a minimum holding time.
Stop-loss soft breaches are separate from Instant Funding TraderProtect events. A second TraderProtect event over the account lifetime makes that account inactive and cannot be reversed.
