Quick answer: Your highest realised profit day must be below 20% of total realised profit for the payout period. Exactly 20.00% is not below 20%. This is a payout condition, not a breach.
The formula
Highest realised profit day ÷ Total realised profit for the payout period × 100
Only realised profit counts — open positions contribute nothing until closed.
Worked example
Highest day: $1,000
Total period profit | Calculation | Result |
$5,000 | 1,000 ÷ 5,000 | 20.00% — not eligible |
$5,500 | 1,000 ÷ 5,500 | 18.18% — eligible |
To find your boundary, divide your highest day by 0.20 — total realised profit must move past that figure.
The percentage can rise
A losing day reduces total profit while the highest day stays fixed, so the figure goes up. A new larger profit day also resets the highest day. Continuing to trade doesn't guarantee the percentage falls.
After an approved payout
The period closes and the old highest day stops counting. The new profit base is:
Current Balance − Balance After Payout
New formula: Highest realised day after the payout ÷ (Current Balance − Balance After Payout) × 100
Instant Funding example:
Balance After Payout: $101,000
Current Balance: $104,000
New period profit: $3,000
Highest day in the new period: $1,100
$1,100 ÷ $3,000 = 36.67% — above 20%, not eligible
Use Balance After Payout from the Trader Area as your reference, not the original starting balance. The reset happens once a payout is approved — a pending or rejected request doesn't necessarily close a period.
This is not a breach
The account stays active. The payout waits until the figure is below 20%.
