How does TraderProtect work?
On Instant Funding, TraderProtect closes all open positions when their combined floating loss reaches 2% of initial balance. The event count lasts for the account lifetime: the first is a soft breach; the second makes the account inactive and cannot be reversed.

What closes
Every open position on every symbol, not just the trade with the biggest loss. On an account with a $100,000 initial balance, a combined floating loss of $2,000 triggers it. The reference stays the initial balance, not the current balance. Floating loss is the loss on trades that are still open.
First and second events
| Event | What happens |
|---|---|
| First TraderProtect closure | Soft breach. You can keep trading straight away unless another rule affects the account |
| Second TraderProtect closure | The account becomes inactive and cannot be restored |
The event count lasts for the entire account lifetime. It does not reset after a payout. The trigger remains 2% of initial balance after profits, losses and withdrawals. An account breached by its second TraderProtect event cannot be restored.
The team can review your floating results, equity, the trigger level, execution records and the state of the account at closure. Why is my account inactive?
